The Samsung's Galaxy S9+ is the latest flagship smartphone to hit the market. Samsung's last phones were vulnerable to the USB Kill v3 - have things changed with their new device? Have they protected users against the power-surge attack?
Sadly the Samsung GalaxyS9+ is vulnerable to USB power surge attacks. That said it took 2 times to kill it and regarding that test, it makes it the hardest recent flagship phone to kill.
The result of the test:
- The phone was unable to boot anymore
- impossible to unlock with any key combination.
- battery drained and the phone was unable to be turned on.
